MIMO

Mimo, the so-called coffee table, fulfills its function not only in matters of use but also evokes various thoughts and feelings. MIMO is a concept of social-emotional problems related to emoji use and culture.

Exploring Social-Emotional Challenges in Emoji Use and Cultural Context.

MIMO explores the emotional and cultural impact of emojis as a new visual language in digital communication. The ‘coffee table’ symbolizes the need for balance and mindfulness in a world shaped by digital expression and cultural diversity.

MARKINGS

Collectible design
by ASM (a designer and tattoo artist)

Light object that combines the aesthetics of illumination with the act of marking both the body and space.

Traces on Skin

Markings begins with the surface of the body - the skin - as a site of memory and identity. Using synthetic skin, often employed by tattoo artists for practice, the object reflects on the act of marking as both personal expression and transformation. The lamp captures this dialogue between body and material, where light reveals the traces of human touch and the permanence of marks made over time.

Imprints in Space

Extending beyond the body, the structure of Markings draws from architectural form, emphasizing that the spaces we inhabit are also shaped and marked by human actions. The object becomes a symbolic intersection between body and architecture - a vessel where light, material, and trace coexist. When illuminated, these imprints dissolve into light, suggesting that every mark - physical or emotional - becomes part of the larger spatial and human narrative.

Three ceramic vases with textured surfaces; the middle one has a face design and contains a green succulent plant.

3D printing from clay / Vases

During the 3D clay printing course, I learned how to work with this technique by creating three sculptural forms inspired by various objects and cultures. Through this process, I explored the possibilities of 3D printing with clay and gained a practical understanding of this method.
